Magnificat!

Saturday 14th December at 7.30pm

St Mary's Church, Darlington Street, Bathwick, BA2 4EB

Join The Handful for a magnificent evening of festive music. The first part of our programme includes treasures from the 16th and 17th centuries including Palestrina Exultate Deo, Bach Der Geist hilft and Monteverdi Cantate Domino, and mixes these with sparkling gems from more modern composers with  Swayne Magnificat, Poulenc Exultate Deo, Cui Magnificat and Rutter Cantate Domino

The second half of our programme moves positively into the realm of contemporary festive favourites including Rutter Wexford Carol, and Sans Day Carol, Poston Jesus Christ the Apple Tree, Hewitt-Jones Love Came Down at Christmas, Gritton Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. The Handful will also be lending their West Country accents to Davies Tua Bethlem Dref (in Welsh) and Warlock Kan Kernow (in Cornish).

This is set to be a beautiful evening of music designed to fill the heart with a festive glow.

Tickets will be on sale through Bath Box Office.
